In an effort to get youngsters to read more, the Saytown Library sponsors its very own book club. Each month, the library lists the names of the children in the club and the number of the books they read that month, with each child listed in order by the number of books he or she has read (for example, the child who read the most books is listed in first place). In the first seven months of this year (January through July), the same four children claimed the top four spots, although not necessarily in the same order each month. From the information provided, determine the first four names on the list each month.
The only two months in which Betsy placed immediately ahead of Tommy were May and July. The only month in which Peggy placed higher than Marshall was February. No one attained the same placement more than twice.
The child who placed third in April placed even higher in March. The child who placed third in June placed even higher in April. No child had the same placement in two consecutive months.
