Religion, and its Results

Since the origin of the first civilization, there has been a belief in some supernatural force. Some force that controls the essence of life, something that acts as a motivational tool in times of distress. The Romans believed in Venus, and Jupiter, the Egyptians in the Sun God, Amon Ra, and then many other civilizations that had separate beliefs, and separate sacred practices. Whether such a being exists or not is a question that has been present since there was religion; there is no evidence to support either side of this eternal argument.

Religion has been part of the human lifestyle forever, and it probably will be for all time to come. Humans need someone to lean on at some point of their life, and God is the force that gives people eternal hope, God is a something that is ever present. God supplies endless amounts of energy, not only to people that are in distress, but also to people that are stuck in the "middle," people who aren’t sure whether or not to believe in God or to oppose him.

Religion is a powerful thing, yet a simple one; a force that can tame a beast, and quench the desire for anything in the world, yet it is simple. God is a force that captivates the heart and the soul; He truly does exist to most people, and to every person that he does, he is the most powerful being that ever existed.

Every part of the world has separate religions, and people of the same religion, no matter where they are, find themselves closely knit together. Togetherness is another one of the miracles of religion. Every year millions of Muslims migrate to the Mecca, not only to pray to their God, Allah, but also to see the other fellow Muslims. Religion is truly an all-powerful thing.

Another thing that surprises me is how did every corner of the world adapt a separate religion of its own. I believe that when mankind first came into being the world was not as closely knit as it is now. With each civilization isolated from the other, each one developed its own beliefs and rituals. Later as technology and mankind progressed, the religions never diminished from the already diverse quilt of history.

Religion is one of the most important parts of the imposing social and cultural structure of humans. In short, the world would not have been what it is presently if it was not for a little thing called "Religion."
